Today as I sit here at my desk I look out my window feeling so many
emotions it makes my head spin. You see in just four short days I will be
saying goodbye to my wife and children I love more than words could ever
describe and stepping onto a plane bound for Jamaica. Although the bible is
so true when it says absence makes the heart fond. I will miss my family
greatly but I know when I see them again there will be a great sense of just
how blessed I am. Kind of like when you lose something and you come to grips
that its gone and then one day there it is ,you have a much greater
appreciation for it.
Speaking of blessed, what a team God has blessed me with. I am thankful
for each and everyone joining me. What a joy it will be watching and seeing
how God is going to surprise and challenge and stretch each one of them. I
know that every one of them will be forever changed in their inner most
being by our awesome Savior. That thought brings a smile across my face as
God has allowed me to be a part of that. Thanks team you guys rock!!
Then we have the people of Jamaica that we have the incredible
opportunity to share Gods love with. They have so little as far as stuff but
so much as far as joy. They are so friendly and receptive to us that I
always leave feeling as if I have been more blessed then they have. Gods
love is so cool to see played out in somebody's life.Oh and then the
children of Jamaica, I don't have the words in my vocabulary to begin to
describe them. Its really something you have to see and experience to fully
understand. So I sit here a very humble and blessed man that God is allowing
me, one beggar showing others were the "true bread" is.
