DAY 4 RECAP

Good evening family and friends,

-where do I begin..here is a re-cap first of last night here at New Vision Children's Home. We ran a small program for the teen's here at the home there are about 13 teenagers that live here. We started the program with a crazy Skittles game that Pastor Eric and Brandon had a blast doing…of course the teen's loved every minute of it. After we went into some skits…Liz Newman performed her human video and has the opportunity to explain what she has just performed for them. After that we did the students did the "Everything" human video followed by a testimony by Emma Lamanna, I must say she did an awesome job! After a fun night with hanging with the teen's we had our family time together…what a great night. We started out with a devotional by Maddi Holland on Pleasing others and not God, after devo's we went into a time of worship and prayer which was amazing the girls prayed with each other as well as the guys…it was a wonderful time getting students to press closer to God.  After prayer we of course closed with our tradition of "HERO of the DAY" this night's hero was a little different in the fact that most of the time hero is funny and comical but tonight it was a little different in the fact that students picked other students in a different light it was much more serious and heartfelt and a lot of tears…just to share one the Donohue's Ian and Lizzi, Ian said his 'hero' was his sister Lizzi because he would be home sick without her and he was glad she was here, can you say awwww and the tears flowed. This night was simply awesome!!!

Ok on to today, we started our morning with devotions by Breanna Roland, she spoke on Trust…she did a wonderful job and she is the youngest student here, pretty impressive! After devo's we headed out to Christiana Moravian Primary School which was the same school we were at yesterday, they invited us back again for another assembly. We started out with some high energy songs with puppets and then we did the skit "MASK" that was pretty funny because we had 2 of our adult men participate in this skit…Brandon Fasig played the Gangster and David Lopez played the Heavy Metal guy, we do have video proof of this. Following the skit Jen Bohner did the explanation for the students..Jen does a wonderful job with the children.

This is our last full day here at New Vision so we had to finish up our construction projects, we are all done… can you say success!!! Our kids had a blast finishing up painting the swing set, railing and walls…paint everywhere oil base, not fun!

For all of you who wanted to know if Stacey Amato could keep out of the kitchen  ------ that is a negative, she is making fresh spaghetti sauce for us for our pasta tonight for dinner. They don't have spaghetti sauce here so they use ketchup yuck!

Tonight is a hang out night with the teens again, we will be hitting the basketball court for a little fun, sure our boys will not win that game. We will end our night with family time and tonight we will be giving out the care packages you all sent along, I am sure the kids will be excited to receive some goodies from home.

Okay going to sign off now…we are going to try to post a video and some more pictures later today..please be patient as the internet only works from the van. We will be going to a place called 8 mile tomorrow very early and returning late so I am not sure if we will have time to post until tomorrow night.

Continue to pray for us as we continue on this journey here in Jamaica, the students are doing an AMAZING job in everything they are doing!

Have a great evening and enjoy the postings!!! Justine

Emma! I was thinking about you all day knowing you were doing your testimony soon! I know how scared you were and I just can't wait to hear how it went! Got a message that you're doing well so I feel a bit better. I miss you soooo much. I hope you liked your package, I know the pictures were a bit funny but I sent them along anyway. I just love seeing the sweet smile on your face in all the pictures and know that God is working magic on your heart. So very proud of the work you and your team is doing! Let Maddi know her mother is posting all over her facebook how much she misses her!!! Keep up the great work and know how much we all love you! Love, Mommy!
